Melissa Casey

My name is Melissa Casey, and I am junior from North Providence, RI majoring in Communications.  I became much more involved in the Newman Club my sophomore year here at URI and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions of my life.  I feel as though this is the closest I have ever been to my faith.  I have made long lasting friendships and plenty of memories to last a lifetime.  The atmosphere at the Catholic Center is homey and always welcoming.   In between classes or any free time is usually spent at the center.  Some of my favorite things about Newman are the two Retreats and the activities we do throughout the year.  They are a great way to relax with good company during stressful times.
