Dan Danckert

 Let me first begin by introducing myself.  My name is Dan Danckert. I am junior and a Chemical & Ocean Engineering and German Language & Culture double-major in the IEP (International Engineering Program) and will be going abroad to Germany next this fall as part of my program.  As well as being a member of Newman Club, I am also a member of the URI College Republicans, of which I am the 2nd vice chairman.  I have been a member of Newman since my freshman year, when I served as Vice President.  My favorite memories from Newman are the Fall Retreat my freshman year and the Mission Trip to Nicaragua this past January.  In my free time I like to play sports, read, and hang out with my friends, which I mostly do with the people from Newman.  What I have gained most from this club is a close network of friends that I can rely on in any situation.  My favorite sports are football, soccer, and karate.
